Environmental Policy

The Environmental Policies of NRGWORX are to:

Ensure that the long term impact on the environment affected by our activities, receives equal priority with our business objectives.

Accept that environmental impact assessment is a management responsibility which requires a structured organisation with committed and competent staff.

Provide project teams with the support, through the mechanisms of the HSE System, to ensure compliance with current legislation and implementation programs.

Provide an Environmental Management System, comprising of standards, procedures and activity assessments and objectives and targets. It shall systematically identify significant environmental impacts within our activities, and eliminate or control the associated risk.

Ensure a clear communications system exists for all environmental issues through structured meetings, presentations and publications.

Undertake assessments to ensure the competence of all our employees in performing their respective roles.

Evaluate and control subcontractors’ capabilities and performance to match standards set by NRGWORX.

Monitor the performance of our activities against established standards and criteria, to meet planned objectives and targets.

Use the investigation of environmental incidents as a management tool to provide analytical details and to identify inadequacies in management control.

Undertake periodic reviews of the Environmental Management Systems.

Encourage all employees to contribute to the continual improvement of the NRGWORX Environmental Management System.

Environmental Management System

NRGWORX is committed to the protection of the environment. To this end an Environmental Management System has been developed to provide the means of ensuring that the project environmental issues are appropriately managed.

The manual includes key elements such as:

  • Policy statement
  • Organisation and responsibilities
  • List of environmental regulatory requirements, codes of practice, guidelines, standards etc, pertinent to contract activities
  • Environmental procedures and work instructions e.g. Waste management, environmental auditing and training
  • Monitoring, record keeping and reporting requirements.
